Vermont Tech Announces Hire

President Patricia Moulton names the Chief Technology Officer

Randolph Center, VT (06/27/2019) — Kellie Campbell, Ed.D has been named the Chief Technology Officer, effective June 10, 2019. Her candidacy was recommended by the college's search committee and approved by the President in May.

"Dr. Campbell has excellent credentials and strong leadership skills and training. She has extensive experience in IT from her self-described start as 'boots on the ground' technical support to assuming leadership roles and academic responsibilities," noted President Moulton when announcing her hire to the Vermont Tech community. "We look forward to all that Kellie will bring to her work at Vermont Tech," said the president.

The Search Committee noted an immediate fit with Kellie's technical background, focus on leadership, and experience with change management. The chair, Kevin Conroy, said that the committee, "benefitted from the luxury of choice, with many good candidates to interview, but Kellie rose to the top quickly."

Dr. Campbell comes to Vermont Tech from St. Michael's College where she was both the Director of Information Technology and an Associate Dean for online and non-traditional programs. She frames her doctoral research as exploring, "the role technology and technology leaders and their teams can play in sustaining and growing opportunity at an institution." She received her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University and her Master of Science in Business Management and Administration and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from St. Michael's College.
